StreaMonitor alternative
StreaMonitor is a Python recorder you run yourself. The Stream Archive records Chaturbate, Stripchat, CamSoda, and MyFreeCams without Python, FFmpeg, or a host that has to stay up.
What StreaMonitor is
StreaMonitor is an open-source Python tool (lossless1024/StreaMonitor). You add usernames, it watches the rooms, and FFmpeg writes the public stream to disk. You can run it from the command line, in Docker, or with a small web UI on port 5000.
It covers more sites than we do, including BongaCams and Cam4. Stripchat needs extra decryption keys. You keep the host up and fix the client when a site changes.
What The Stream Archive does
You add Chaturbate, Stripchat, CamSoda, or MyFreeCams usernames in the browser. We capture on our recorder. Sessions show up in a private library you can play or download while subscribed.
Lite is $9 a month for 3 creators and 200 GB. Plus is $35 for 30 creators and 3 TB. Checkout is crypto. The library is yours. We do not publish a public show index.
When to stay on StreaMonitor
Stay if you need a site we do not record, you want the files on hardware you control, or you already keep that stack healthy.
When to switch
Switch if you do not want to maintain a Python recorder. Add the rooms here and shut the PC down.

- Not for The Stream Archive. Those are what StreaMonitor runs on your machine.
- Does StreaMonitor support more sites?
- Yes. It includes sites we do not record, such as BongaCams and Cam4. Stay there if you need those rooms.
- What about Stripchat keys?
- StreaMonitor needs extra decryption keys for Stripchat. We capture Stripchat on our recorder. You add the username in the browser.
