How to record Chaturbate automatically

You can use OBS for a show you are already watching, a self-hosted recorder if you want the files on your disk, or a cloud archive if you want the machine off.

Chaturbate does not keep a replay

If the room went live and you were asleep, the show is gone unless something was already recording. Pick the setup that stays awake when you are not at the computer.

1. OBS or the browser

Use this when you are in the room anyway and want a copy of this one show. You capture the screen or tab, so quality depends on your display and encoder. Sleep mode, a crashed Chrome, or a full disk ends the file. Fine for a single session. A poor plan for recording around the clock.

2. Self-host (CTBRec, StreaMonitor, a VPS)

CTBRec, StreaMonitor, and the various Chaturbate DVR Docker images watch a username and write files when the room is live. That is the right kind of tool. You also own uptime, disk, Cloudflare cookies, upgrades, and the risk that the box reboots at the worst time.

Keep this path if you want the files on a NAS you control and you already run that kind of machine.

3. A cloud recorder

Add the Chaturbate username on Creators.
You can close the browser. When they are live, capture runs without your PC.

Recording is only lawful where you have the right to record. Read Chaturbate’s terms, the room rules, and the law where you live. Private or paid shows, and anything the performer or platform restricts, stay off limits even if a tool can capture them. Do not upload the file to a tube site.
